Bitrue Referral Code
A Bitrue referral link gives you no fee discount at all: since 31 October 2024 the commission has been fixed and there is no longer any way for it to be shared back with you. Whatever a new account is worth depends on which time-limited campaign happens to be running, and if you live anywhere in the European Economic Area, Bitrue's own terms say it will not let you register.
ZZWLLGTIf you sign up through this page, this site may receive the referrer's side of the reward. This never costs you anything extra.
Requirements to qualify
- You register via the referral link.
- You deposit (e.g. $30+) and hit a minimum trade volume; the referrer earns ~25% lifetime fee commission plus per-invite USDT bonuses.
What a Bitrue link actually gets you
Bitrue's own notice of 31 October 2024 is the clearest statement of this. It set referral commission at a fixed rate for ordinary users and, in the same update, removed the self-rebate setting from them entirely. Self-rebate was the mechanism that let someone share part of their commission back with the person they invited, which is how a referral link on most exchanges turns into a fee discount for the new account. Affiliate accounts kept it; an ordinary link from a friend does not.
So the new-user side of a Bitrue link is not a standing offer. It exists only when Bitrue is running a campaign, and those campaigns are short. The June 2025 program ran from 6 to 23 June 2025. The 7th anniversary campaign ran from 17 to 28 September 2025. Both are still published in Bitrue's help centre with no expiry banner. Checked on 28 August 2026, Bitrue's help centre listed no current referral campaign at all.
When a campaign is running, the pattern is consistent: a USDT cash amount plus futures trial funds, released against tasks such as a minimum of spot and futures trading volume and holding a balance for a set number of days after registration. The cash is real. The trial funds are not cash in any sense that matters, and that distinction is where most people are misled. Open Bitrue's Rewards Center and read what is offered on the day you register.
Who you would be contracting with, and where Bitrue will not serve you
Bitrue's Terms of Use, amended 15 June 2025 and still live when read on 28 August 2026, state that the agreement is between you and straLink Innovations Technologies Limitada, a limited liability company registered in Costa Rica. That is the counterparty. Bitrue is often described as a Singapore exchange because that is where it started in 2018, and it obtained a Lithuanian virtual asset service provider registration in 2023, but neither describes the entity you would be signing up with now.
The same terms are explicit about Europe. In its own words, in accordance with its regulatory and compliance obligations under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation and applicable European laws, Bitrue does not accept registrations from, or provide services to, persons located or resident in jurisdictions within the European Economic Area. That is not a licence pending. Bitrue chose to leave the EEA rather than obtain authorisation under MiCA, which means all 30 EEA countries, the whole EU plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. If you are reading this from anywhere in that bloc, no referral link works for you.
The same clause also excludes the United States, Canada, China Mainland, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, India and Singapore, along with jurisdictions sanctioned by the United States Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control, naming Iran, North Korea, Russia, Cuba and Syria. Between the EEA exclusion and that list, a large share of the people searching for a Bitrue code cannot open an account.
What remains is a broad platform for everyone else. Bitrue runs spot trading across more than 1,000 pairs, USDT and USDC margined futures, coin-margined futures, leveraged ETF tokens, copy trading, staking through its Power Piggy product, crypto-backed loans, and TradFi derivatives on stocks, foreign exchange, precious metals and commodities. That is an unusually wide product range to be offered from a company registered in Costa Rica with no authorisation in any major regulated market.
What it costs to trade
Bitrue's published spot schedule, read on 28 August 2026, does not split maker and taker. It charges one flat rate of 0.098% on BTC, ETH and USDT pairs, and that single number cuts both ways. If you place market orders and take liquidity, a flat 0.098% is competitive and often cheaper than the taker rate at a larger venue. If you place patient limit orders, you are paying the same rate as everybody else, while a maker at a major exchange typically pays a small fraction of that. Bitrue is a reasonable place to buy and hold and a poor place to work an order book.
XRP pairs are priced separately and cost considerably more, which is worth noticing given how strongly Bitrue markets itself to XRP holders. XRP against BTC, USDT and ETH is charged at 0.196%, and every other XRP pair at 0.280%, so the asset the exchange is best known for is the one carrying double or nearly triple its standard rate. Paying trading fees in BTR, Bitrue's own token, takes 20% off the bill, which means the cheapest way to trade there involves holding an exchange token whose value depends on the exchange.
Futures on the USDT pairs listed in that same schedule are charged at 0.02% for makers and 0.06% for takers, which is in line with the rest of the market. Bitrue does not publish a flat table of crypto withdrawal costs, because they vary by coin and by network. The figure that matters is the one on the confirmation screen at the moment you send.
How the referral works, and what trial funds really are
There is no code to type. Bitrue's program runs on a link, and registering through it is what attaches the new account; there is no way to attach one afterwards. Rewards on the new-user side are then claimed from the Rewards Center rather than arriving automatically, and unclaimed items expire. The person whose link you used earns a fixed 25% share of the trading fees you generate, and that is the whole of their side of it. Bitrue runs a separate affiliate program advertising up to 65% for influencers and channel partners.
Now the part that campaign banners never spell out. Bitrue's Enhanced Futures Trial Fund rules, updated 29 July 2026, describe something quite unlike a cash bonus. Trial funds are combined with your own USDT at a preset ratio to enlarge your margin, and they can absorb losses proportionally, with any profit belonging entirely to you. The restrictions are where it turns.
Trial funds are non-withdrawable and non-transferable. They cannot be used on their own, so you have to put your own money at risk to use them at all. They work only on USDT-margined futures, not on spot, not on savings, not on isolated margin positions, not on coin-margined futures, and not as collateral or loan repayment. Positions opened with them earn no rebates or commissions. They expire if you do not redeem them in time, and they expire again at the end of their usage window.
The reclamation rule is the one to read twice. When the usage period ends, Bitrue automatically takes the trial funds back. If your available balance is smaller than the amount being reclaimed, the system cancels your open orders first, and if that is still not enough it liquidates your positions until the full amount has been recovered. A promotional credit that can force-close your trades on a deadline is an invitation to trade leveraged futures with a countdown attached. If you did not come to Bitrue to trade futures, this part of the reward is worth nothing to you.
Pros, cons, and who this actually suits
Bitrue does some things well. The flat spot rate is genuinely simple and genuinely cheap for anyone who buys with market orders and does not trade often. The listing range is wide, the XRP support is deeper than most exchanges of its size, and the product set reaches further than the majors do in some directions, with TradFi derivatives and tokenised assets sitting alongside crypto. For an active futures trader outside the regulated markets, the fee schedule is competitive.
The problems are serious and specific. You would be contracting with a Costa Rica company that holds no authorisation in the EU, the United Kingdom, the United States or Singapore, which means there is no financial regulator anywhere you could escalate a complaint to. The exchange has had two hot wallet compromises, described in the next section. Its rewards run on rotating campaigns rather than a stable offer, so what a link is worth changes month to month and expired campaigns stay published as though they were current. The self-rebate removal means an ordinary link now passes you nothing. And the cheapest fee tier requires holding the exchange's own token, which is a position in the platform's own credit.
Sign up only if you are outside every excluded jurisdiction, you already understand that an unregulated offshore exchange offers no recourse, and you want a specific asset or product that better-regulated venues do not list. If you are in the EEA, the question is settled for you: Bitrue will not take your registration, and a MiCA-authorised exchange such as Bitvavo or Kraken is where a European reader should be looking. If you are in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, India or Singapore, the same applies with a different list of alternatives. And if what you actually wanted was a fee discount from a friend's link, look for an exchange that still lets ordinary users share their commission back, because Bitrue removed that option.
Two hot wallet breaches, four years apart
Bitrue published its own notice on 17 April 2023, and its wording was careful: on 14 April 2023 at 07:18 UTC it identified a brief exploit in one of its hot wallets, most users were not affected, some experienced short outages in withdrawals, and all users affected by the incident would be compensated in full. By the date of that notice, normal operations had resumed for every token except QNT, MATIC and HOT.
Bitrue's statement named no figure. The number came from press reporting on 14 April 2023 by CoinDesk and Cointelegraph, which put the loss at roughly $23 million across ETH, QNT, GALA, SHIB, HOT and MATIC, drained from a hot wallet that Bitrue said held about 5% of its total reserves. Withdrawals were suspended platform-wide while the exchange ran security checks and were expected back on 18 April 2023.
It was not the first. In June 2019, an attacker exploited a flaw in the second-review process of Bitrue's risk control team, reached the hot wallet, and moved roughly 9.3 million XRP and 2.5 million ADA out of the exchange, reported at the time as about $4.2 million to $4.3 million. Bitrue said then too that all lost funds would be returned to users.
Here is the honest reading. Bitrue committed to compensate in full both times, and no reporting suggests it reneged, but it never published a confirmation that the 2023 compensation program had completed, and there is no independent audit of it in the public record. That commitment came from the company's balance sheet, not from insurance and not from any legal guarantee. Two hot wallet compromises four years apart is a pattern rather than an accident, and the entity that made those promises is now the Costa Rica company described above. If a third incident happened tomorrow, whether you were made whole would rest entirely on whether that company chose to do it.
Bitrue referral code FAQ
Can I use a Bitrue referral link if I live in the EU?
No. Bitrue's Terms of Use state that, under its obligations relating to the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, it does not accept registrations from or provide services to anyone resident in the European Economic Area. That covers all 30 EEA countries, so no link will work for you.
Are Bitrue's futures trial funds the same as cash?
No, and the gap is wide. Bitrue's own rules say they are non-withdrawable, non-transferable, usable only on USDT-margined futures alongside your own money, and reclaimed automatically when the usage period ends. If your balance is short at that moment, Bitrue cancels your open orders and then liquidates positions to recover the full amount. Profits you make with them are yours to keep.
What does Bitrue charge to trade?
Its published schedule, read on 28 August 2026, shows one flat spot rate of 0.098% on BTC, ETH and USDT pairs, with XRP pairs charged at 0.196% or 0.280% depending on the pair, and a 20% discount for paying fees in BTR. USDT futures are 0.02% for makers and 0.06% for takers.
Has Bitrue ever been hacked?
Twice. A hot wallet was exploited on 14 April 2023, reported by CoinDesk and Cointelegraph at roughly $23 million, and an earlier hot wallet breach in June 2019 took about $4.2 million in XRP and ADA. Bitrue pledged full compensation on both occasions and no reporting suggests it failed to pay, but it published no confirmation that the 2023 process completed.
Why do I keep finding Bitrue referral offers that do not work?
Because Bitrue leaves finished campaign pages published without an expiry notice. The June 2025 and September 2025 referral campaigns are both still readable in its help centre and both ended long ago. Check the Rewards Center inside your account for what is genuinely live rather than trusting a help-centre article.
