What is WEEX?

WEEX is an offshore centralised cryptocurrency exchange built mainly around futures and spot trading. It serves traders who want leveraged derivatives alongside ordinary spot buying on a single platform. Like many exchanges in this category, it grows partly through an invite-a-friend program that pays existing users a share of the trading fees their invitees generate.

For anyone reading from the EU or EEA, one fact matters more than any bonus figure: WEEX does not hold MiCA authorisation and does not appear in ESMA's register of authorised crypto-asset service providers. That is a statement about regulatory status, not about the company's conduct, but it does affect which consumer protections apply to an EU user and whether the platform remains available to them. No EU or EEA country appears on WEEX's own restricted-jurisdiction list and WEEX has not announced an EEA exit, so availability is unclear rather than formally closed.

Crypto trading carries a real risk of loss, and futures trading in particular can lose money very quickly. A referral offer does not change that, and nothing below should be read as a reason to trade.

How the WEEX referral code works

An existing WEEX user shares an invite link or code, and a new user enters it when registering. From there, the two sides of the program stand on very different footing.

The referrer's side is the part WEEX states clearly. The referrer earns a lifetime commission on the invitee's trading fees, advertised at 40%, plus a headline per-friend maximum displayed on WEEX's own invite page. WEEX attaches explicit conditions to that payout: the invitee has to complete the welcome task list and pass a risk-control review to count as a valid invitee. Commission was historically futures-only and was extended to spot and TradFi products in August 2026.

The invitee's side is far less certain. WEEX's invite page advertises 160 USDT plus seven-day trial funds for the new user. However, WEEX's own welcome-event page lists those same tasks, sign-up, a first deposit and a first futures trade, with no invitation code required at all. It could not be confirmed that the new-user reward actually depends on using a code, so it may simply be the standard welcome bonus re-badged on the invite page. Anyone signing up as the new user should check in-account what a code changes before assuming it changes anything.

How to use the WEEX referral code

The code is entered during registration, so it is worth having it ready before starting sign-up rather than afterwards. WEEX does not describe a way to attach one retroactively.

• Get a current code or invite link from an existing WEEX user, like the one featured on this page when one is available.
• Open WEEX's sign-up page and begin registration.
• Enter the code in the invitation field before completing sign-up.
• Complete WEEX's identity verification.
• Open the rewards or events area of the account to see which tasks, if any, are actually tied to the code rather than open to every new user.

Eligibility and requirements

WEEX's stated conditions apply mainly to the referrer's payout. The invitee has to register through the invite link or enter the code at sign-up, complete the welcome task list and pass WEEX's risk-control review before the referrer counts them as valid. Institutional, affiliate and KOL accounts are excluded from the program.

The task list changes with each promotion. Recent versions have included a first deposit of 100 USDT or more held for seven days, and a first futures trade of 500 USDT or more. That is a description of what WEEX has asked for, not a suggestion. Futures positions can lose money rapidly, and a promotional task list is a poor reason to open one.

Timing is also worth knowing in advance. Invitee rewards are issued the day after the tasks are completed, following a manual review, and referrer commissions settle daily from 20:00. Both steps mean a reward is not instant, and a failed review means no payout.

Reward details and tips

The amounts move. WEEX runs its invite offer as a rolling promotion, and the headline numbers are maximums rather than typical outcomes. They change often enough that the only figure worth trusting is the one on WEEX's own invite page on the day you look. Much larger ceilings circulate on affiliate blogs; no WEEX-owned page supports them, so they are not repeated here.

What the reward is matters more than how large it looks. WEEX issues these rewards as bonus coupons and trial funds rather than withdrawable cash, and trial funds expire after seven days. A trial-fund credit is not the same thing as money in the account, and it cannot be treated as a cushion against trading losses.

• Confirm current amounts on WEEX's own invite page rather than on third-party listings.
• Enter the code during registration, since there is no described way to add it later.
• Check whether a reward arrives as a coupon, as trial funds or as a withdrawable balance before counting it as value.
• Note the seven-day expiry on trial funds so unused credit is not a surprise.
• If you are the referrer, remember the commission depends on the invitee passing WEEX's risk-control review.

Sharing and promotion rules

WEEX's affiliate terms permit promotion in any manner of the affiliate's choosing, subject to the agreement and applicable law, so publishing a code on a website or a directory is not prohibited. The same terms do prohibit bidding on the WEEX brand, affiliate links and invite codes in paid search, using confusingly similar domains, unsolicited email or messaging and indiscriminate advertising, and soliciting inside official WEEX communities.

Those are the affiliate program terms. A separate binding set of conditions for the ordinary user referral offer was not located, so the rules that apply to a regular user sharing a code may differ from the affiliate rules described above.
